Ann Wrightson

Ann’s recent work includes: Sense and Sensibility and Clybourne Park, Repertory Theatre of St Louis, OKLAHOMA!, and Anna Karenina Portland Center Stage, The Diary of Anne Frank, Indiana Rep, Crimes of the Heart, McCarter Theatre and Fences at the Huntington Theatre. She designed the Broadway production of Souvenir and she was a Tony nominee for her work on the Pulitzer Prize– and Tony Award–winning August: Osage County, which she designed for Broadway, London, Sydney, and the National tour. Past projects include, The Unmentionables, Yale Repertory, UP, Steppenwolf Theatre, Gem of the Ocean and Radio Golf at the Alliance Theatre, Tracy Letts’s The Man From Nebraska (a Pulitzer Prize finalist & one of Time’s Top 10 Best Plays of 2003), Steppenwolf Theatre, A Prayer for Owen Meany and Inana for Denver Theatre Center and 10 seasons at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Current work features A Midsummer Night’s Dream for Indiana Rep and Geva Theatre Center.

Other work has been seen at the Kennedy Center, the Long Wharf, Arena Stage, and the National Playwrights Conference Eugene O’Neill theater Center. Television work includes cable’s Comedy Central and “Politically Incorrect With Bill Maher”. Awards are 2009 IRNE Award for Best Lighting for Fences at the Huntington, Backstage Garland Award for Magic Fire at OSF and an AUDELCO nomination.
