Christopher and Justin Swader

Christopher & Justin Swader are New York-based scenic designers. Selected design credits include: An Octoroon (ArtsEmerson/Company One, Boston), A Foreign Body (Le Parker Meridien Hotel, directed by Theresa Rebeck), The Brothers Size, The Tall Girls, A Perfect Ganesh (Luna Stage, NJ), The Offending Gesture (/3LD/The Tank), The Tempest, Dutchman (Classical Theatre of Harlem). They have also collaborated with with Columbia Stages, The New School for Drama, National Black Theatre, Cherry Lane Theatre, La MaMa, Manhattan School of Music, Mason Holdings, Park Avenue Armory, Trusty Sidekick, Astoria Performing Arts Center, Shadowland Theatre, The Orchard Project, IRT Theater, & The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center. At the Kennedy Center / American College Theatre Festival, they received the 2011 Barbizon Award for their design of Angels in America, Part One: Millennium Approaches and the 2012 National Award in Outstanding Scenic Design for The Circus in Winter. Originally from Indiana, they are graduates of Ball State University.
