Dan Ostling

An ensemble member of Lookingglass Theatre Company, he has worked extensively with Mary Zimmerman, receiving a Tony nomination for their Broadway production of Metamorphoses. He has also worked on Argonautika, The Secret in the Wings, and The Odyssey, which have been seen nationwide. Recent designs include: Amadeus (Chicago Shakespeare Theatre), José Rivera’s new play Brainpeople (ACT), Lucia di Lammermoor (The Metropolitan Opera), Glorious Ones (Lincoln Center Theater; Pittsburgh Public Theater), Mirror of the Invisible World (Goodman), Lookingglass Alice (New Victory Theater; Arden Theatre), Durango (The Public Theatre; Long Wharf Theatre), The Pain and the Itch (Playwrights Horizons; Steppenwolf) and UP (Oregon Shakespeare Festival). Other regional theater credits include: BAM, Berkeley Rep, La Jolla, the Taper, McCarter, NYSF, San Francisco Opera, Seattle Rep and theaters in London and Melbourne. Daniel is an associate professor at Northwestern University.
