IT’S LONELY OUT IN SPACE
THESE SEVEN SICKNESSES
ALL THAT TRAGIC
YEOMAN OF THE GUARD
It’s Lonely Out In Space – (2M 2W) A wheelchair bound man gets a chance for absolution when his college girlfriend contacts him out of the blue. They meet in a rocket ship-themed bar, and contemplate loss and forgiveness.
Sugarward – (2M) A two-man quick-change biopic about Colonel Daniel Parke, a colonial governor of the Leeward Islands who was assassinated by an angry mob of Sugar Barons in 1708.
These Seven Sicknesses – (casting flexible) All seven of Sophocles extant plays adapted into a longer 5 hour theater event. It sounds like a terrible idea, but it received sold-out productions in both NY and Chicago.
Sean Graney has adapted multiple other works including Edward II, Peer Gynt, Woyzeck, Tartuffe, Comedy of Errors, Cinderella, and many other. He is the founder of the Chicago based troupe, The Hypocrites, and teaches at various universities around Chicago.
