WAS

Adapted from the novel by Geoff Ryman
Book and Lyrics by Barry Kleinbort
Music by Joseph Thalken

By turns tragic and triumphant, this complex journey tells the tale of two characters separated by a century. WAS weaves together the adventures of Dorothy Gael, the orphan who became the inspiration for The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and Jonathan Wood the actor whose lifelong obsession with Dorothy’s film persona brings him to Kansas to find proof of her existence.
