This play is a love letter to people who make theater\u2026and the ghosts that won\u2019t let them go.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BIO: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Kathryn Walat is an award-winning playwright, whose work has been produced across the country, as well as an opera librettist. Play include: CREATION (Theatre @ Boston Court; LA Stage Alliance\u2019s Ovation Award for Playwriting nomination), BLEEDING KANSAS (Hangar Theatre; Francesca Primus Citation\/American Theatre Critics Association), VICTORIA MARTIN: MATH TEAM QUEEN (Women\u2019s Project; published in \u201cNew Playwrights: The Best Plays of 2007\u201d), SEE BAT FLY (Kilroy\u2019s List 2014; Brown-Trinity Playwrights Rep), ANCIENT GODS OF THE BACKWOODS (New Georges\u2019 Germ Project), KNOW DOG (Salvage Vanguard), JOHNNY HONG KONG (Perishable Theatre), ON THE ROAD anthology project (Actors\u2019 Theatre of Louisville). Kate is currently working on a new play, MARY SHELLEY AND THE CREATURE, as an Audrey Resident at New Georges, where she is also an Affiliated Artist. She is an Assistant Professor and Playwright-in-Residence at SUNY Albany, and splits her time between Upstate and NYC.
