A native New Yorker, Ray had the rare privilege of studying acting with the legendary Stella Adler, Lee Strasberg, Uta Hagen and his mentor, Alice Spivak. Studying speech with Lynn Singer and Pat Heller was Ray\u2019s introduction to the world of dialects and languages. Currently, he is trained in and works with 12 accents. Ray also speaks fluent French and German.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After graduating from NYU\u2019s Tisch School with a BFA in theatre, Ray spent the next dozen years working on many off and off-off-Broadway stages. The Harold Clurman Theatre, The Westside Arts Theatre, and The Lucille Lortel Theatre to name a few. He is the veteran of well over 50 theatrical productions in both New York City and Los Angeles. During this time he also spent two years playing the role of Rex on \u201cAs The World Turns.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ray has built an impressive resum\u00e9 of primetime television and film work. Among his many credits, Ray is perhaps best known for the three seasons he spent on \u201cSuits\u201d playing the role of Dr. Stanley Lipschitz. He is also recognized from his portrayals of the notorious Doctor on the series \u201cImposters\u201d for two seasons and the evil Reinhard Heydrich on Amazon\u2019s \u201cThe Man in the High Castle.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ray\u2019s play \u201cImitating Sam\u201d was produced in Los Angeles at The Egyptian Arena Theatre in 2002. He has just completed his new play, \u201cLet\u2019s Kill Kate.\u201d A dark, comic look at one man\u2019s experience with Dissociative Identity Disorder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ray is bi-coastal, having homes in both Los Angeles and New York City.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ray began pursuing a career in theatre as a teenager.
