Simone Moore is a critically acclaimed actress with a rich background in Shakespearean and contemporary theater. Hailed by the Los Angeles Times for her roles as Helena in \u201cA Midsummer Night\u2019s Dream\u201d and Sylvia in \u201cTwo Gentlemen of Verona,\u201d and praised by the New York Times for her performance in \u201cIn the Footprint\u201d with The Civilians Theatre Company, Simone\u2019s stage presence is both powerful and captivating. Her solo play, \u201cThe Divorce Comedy: A Spiritual Study,\u201d premiered at REDCAT in 2020, demonstrating her talent as a writer, performer, and co-director. With classical training from UC San Diego and Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris, Simone has an extensive and impressive portfolio, including Lady Macbeth opposite Keith David at the Shakespeare Center Los Angeles. A rich and complex Queen Gertrude in Hamlet, her regional credits include the prestigious La Jolla Playhouse, ArtsEmerson\u2019s Paramount Blackbox, Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, The Shakespeare Center Los Angeles, The Civilians Theater Company, and CalArts REDCAT. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her TV credits include “Boston Legal”, “Cold Case”, “Without a Trace”, “Lauren”, “Canned”, “Franklin and Bash”, “All of Us”,  ” Random Acts of Flyness”, \u201cSwagger\u201d and \u201cLaw and Order: Organized Crime.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her film credits include Ivan Frank\u2019s “Belly 2”, Arthur Jafa’s “Dreams are Colder Than Death”, The Prospects, “Mrs. Washigton Goes to Smith” alongside Cybill Shepard, and ARC alongside Ken Howard and Peter Facinelli. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Simone is the founding art teacher at East Harlem Scholars Academy, a soulful singer and designer. Her interests include travel, Caribbean dance, Painting, Iyengar yoga, rammed earth, and other forms of sustainable architecture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fluent in Jamaican Patois, English, and French, Simone brings a global perspective to her work. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
