That show enjoyed hit runs at both the York Theatre and a transfer to the West Side Theatre Off-Broadway.\u00a0Other writing credits:\u00a0<em>The Ugly Duck<\/em>\u00a0(Promenade Theatre NYC and national tour), six childrens musicals for Stages Of Imagination (two National Parents Choice awards),\u00a0<em>Holiday For Hope<\/em>\u00a0(Bushnell Theatre, Hartford). His songs have been featured on solo CDs he produced, arranged and conducted for original\u00a0<em>Rent<\/em>\u00a0cast member Gilles Chiasson (<em>Slow Down<\/em>), and Tony nominees Alison Fraser (<em>Men In My Life<\/em>), Susan Egan (<em>Coffee House, Winter Tracks\u00a0<\/em>and<em>\u00a0Live<\/em>), and the late Rebecca Luker (<em>Leaving Home<\/em>). He wrote the music and lyrics for \u201cLet The Memories Begin\u201d and \u201cOnce Upon A Time\u201d for Disney featured in their their widely acclaimed castle projection shows. Original incidental music and dance arrangements:\u00a0<em>The Presidents w\/Rich Little<\/em>\u00a0seen on PBS and on tour,\u00a0<em>Lion King<\/em>\u00a0(Disney Worldwide \u2013 Hong Kong) directed by Tony nominee Lynne Taylor Corbett, and s<em>Aladdin\u00a0<\/em>(Tokyo Disney). He has toured with Susan Egan including an appearance at Carnegie Hall, and has served as Musical Director and Pianist for many other artists in concert including: Tony winners Rupert Holmes, Santino Fontana, and Liz Callaway, Amanda McBroom, Tovah Feldshuh, Jason Graae, Karen Mason, Roslyn Kind and the late Jay Rogers (Manhattan Bistro Award for their show\u00a0<em>Eat, Drink and Be Mary<\/em>). He was also the Music Supervisor and Dance Arranger for the national tour of\u00a0<em>Fame,\u00a0<\/em>and the revival of\u00a0<em>Dear World\u00a0<\/em>starring Tony and Emmy winner Tyne Daly. Many World Premiere Off-Broadway credits as Musical Director, Arranger and Pianist including:\u00a0<em>That\u2019s Life<\/em>\u00a0(Outer Critics Circle nomination \u201cBest Off Broadway Musical),\u00a0<em>The Jazz Singer, Sheba, Identical Twins, Breathe<\/em>\u00a0(American Opera Projects) and\u00a0<em>The Fishkin Touch<\/em>\u00a0(starring Mike Burstyn.) He served as Musical Director for the workshops of new musicals by Nancy Ford &amp; Gretchen Cryer (<em>I\u2019m Getting My Act Together<\/em>) and Carol Hall (<em>Best Little Whorehouse<\/em>.) Favorite regional credits:\u00a0<em>Sisters Of Swing\u00a0<\/em>(Carbonell nomination),\u00a0<em>I Love A Piano, The Last Five Years, Spitfire Grill, Dream A Little Dream: The Nearly True Story of The Mamas &amp; The Papas\u00a0<\/em>(Carbonell nomination),\u00a0<em>Some Kind Of Wonderful<\/em>\u00a0(Co-Creator, Silver Palm Award winner),\u00a0<em>Hair<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>Pajama Game<\/em>\u00a0at Arizona Theatre Company (both Arizona MAC Award winners: \u201cBest Musical\u201d) and Larry in the LORT premiere of\u00a0<em>{title of show}<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Beehive<\/em>\u00a0(Riverside Theatre),\u00a0<em>Joseph\u00a0<\/em>(starring William Katt),\u00a0<em>Another Summer<\/em>\u00a0(World Premiere starring Marni Nixon),\u00a0<em>World Goes Round, Little Shop, Tommy, Godspell, {title of show}<\/em>\u00a0many others. Mr. McGovern is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Temple University and lives in New York City.
