He starred as Leo Bloom in the Tony award-winning Broadway production of <strong><em>THE PRODUCERS<\/em>,<\/strong> and before that played Victor in the Tony award-winning revival of<strong><strong> <em>PRIVATE LIVES<\/em><\/strong>. <\/strong>Don created the role of Charles Clarke in the Tony award-winning Broadway production of <strong><em>TITANIC<\/em><\/strong> and later returned to the show where he played radioman Harold Bride. Also on Broadway, he created the role of Renfield in <strong><em>DRACULA<\/em><\/strong> and he played Leo Frank and Mr. Peavy in the original company of <strong><em>PARADE<\/em><\/strong>, created the part of Bingo Little in <strong><em>BY JEEVES<\/em><\/strong>, played Hertz Kleinman in <strong><em>ROCK OF AGES<\/em><\/strong>, and appeared as Frank Lippencott in the revival of <em><strong>WONDERFUL TOWN<\/strong> <\/em>at Lincoln Center. He also recently appeared as Jabberwocky and Dr. Butridge in the workshop of\u00a0<strong><strong><em>ALICE BY HEART<\/em><\/strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Don directed the Off-Broadway <strong><em>THE JERUSALEM SYNDROME <\/em><\/strong>at the York Theatre. He also starred Off-Broadway as Sid Davis in <strong><em>TAKE ME ALONG<\/em><\/strong> at Irish Repertory Theatre and Anatoly in Tim Rice\u2019s revised production of <strong><em>CHESS<\/em><\/strong>. His other New York credits include Fidele in <em><strong>DEATH TAKES A HOLIDAY<\/strong> <\/em>(Roundabout Theatre), Bo Decker in <strong><em>BUS STOP<\/em><\/strong> (Maverick Theatre), Zach in <strong><em>THE TAVERN<\/em><\/strong> (Equity Library Theatre), and Abe in <strong><em>YOUNG RUBE<\/em><\/strong> (Musical Theatre Works). Don performed in St. Petersburg, Russia in the play <strong><em>LOVE OR THEATRE?:\u00a0THE LIFE OF CHARLOTTE SALOMON<\/em>,<\/strong> which was produced by the Eugene O\u2019Neill Theatre Center.<\/p>\n<p>Among his regional credits are\u00a0John Adams in <strong><em>1776<\/em><\/strong> (Paper Mill Playhouse), Coleman in <em><strong>TRADING PLACES <\/strong><\/em>(Alliance Theatre), Bingo Little in <em><strong>BY<\/strong> <\/em><strong><em>JEEVES<\/em> <\/strong>(Pittsburgh Public Theatre), Jack in <strong><em>WHERE\u2019S CHARLEY <\/em><\/strong>(The Kennedy Center), the title role in<em> <strong>SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE<\/strong><\/em> (Theatre Factory of St. Louis), Henrick in <strong><em>A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC<\/em><\/strong> (American Stage Festival), Jim in <strong><em>THE GIFT OF THE MAGI<\/em><\/strong> (Actors Theatre of Louisville), Herman in <em><strong>THE MOST HAPPY FELLA<\/strong> <\/em>(Theatre Under the Stars and Pittsburg Civic Light Opera), Max in <em><strong>LEND ME A TENOR<\/strong> <\/em>(Barter Theatre), and the title role in <strong><em>HAMLET<\/em><\/strong> (Clarence Brown Theatre). Recently Don directed the Goodspeed Opera House&#8217;s production of <strong><em>THE WILL ROGERS FOLLIES<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>He can be seen as Patrick in the film <strong><em>LITTLE BROTHER<\/em>,<\/strong> first place winner at the Metroland Film Festival, and in the film <strong><em>IT HAD TO BE YOU<\/em>.<\/strong> Don can be heard on the recordings <strong><em>AN O\u2019HENRY CHRISTMAS<\/em><\/strong> (Harbinger Records) the original cast albums of <strong><em>TITANIC<\/em><\/strong> and <strong><em>PARADE<\/em><\/strong> for RCA, and <strong><em>BY JEEVES<\/em><\/strong> for The Really Useful Group. He sings the role of Nicely-Nicely on the London recording of <strong><em>GUYS AND DOLLS<\/em><\/strong>, reprises his role of Frank Lippencott in <strong><em>WONDERFUL TOWN<\/em><\/strong>, and plays Herman on <em><strong>THE MOST HAPPY FELLA<\/strong> <\/em>all for JAY Records.
