MICHAEL LAURENCE is an actor and playwright.<\/p>\n

His solo-show, Krapp, 39 enjoyed an acclaimed six month run Off-Broadway at the Soho Playhouse, and was nominated for a 2009 Drama Desk Award (\u201cBest Solo Performance.\u201d) It had a UK premiere in November, 2010 at the Tristan Bates Theatre\/London, followed by a run at Axis Ballymun Theatre\/Dublin. The play was anthologized in Plays & Playwrights 2009, and was published as a stand-alone volume by Samuel French in late 2010.<\/p>\n

Michael\u2019s other acting credits include the Broadway revivals of Eric Bogosian\u2019s Talk Radio<\/em>, and Eugene O\u2019Neill\u2019s Desire Under the Elms<\/em>, the New York premiere of Michael Hollinger\u2019s Opus<\/em> (Primary Stages), the Off-Broadway premieres of Diary of a Teenage Girl<\/em> (New Georges\/3LD) and The Half God of Rainfall<\/em> (New York Theatre Workshop, also at American Repertory Theatre\/WNY), the Off-Broadway revival of Two Rooms by Lee Blessing<\/em> (Platform Group), and Starbuck in The Rainmaker<\/em> (Arena Stage).<\/p>\n

In 2009-10, he played the recurring role of Barry the Homeless Man on the FX series Damages<\/em>.<\/p>\n
