Bill Phillips was most recently seen on the New York stage in the Off Broadway premiere of the new Michael McKeever play, After<\/em>, at 59E59! Bill can soon be seen in theaters across the country as Mr. Pike in the Keola Racela comedy horror film Porno<\/em>. IndieWire calls it, \u201cpure pulpy cinephile fun, the breakout of last year’s SXSW Film Festival!\u201d Bill is perhaps best known as Reverend Jenkins, Frank Underwood’s (Kevin Spacey) hometown minister, a recurring role on the Netflix series House of Cards<\/em>. He can also be seen as H.L. Mencken in the Amazon Prime series Z: The Beginning of<\/em> Everything<\/em>, in NBC’s Shades of Blue<\/em> as Jennifer Lopez\u2019s priest, and in the new Rob Meyer film Little Boxes<\/em> (Tribeca Film Festival\/Netflix). Bill is a character actor at home on stage and screen and comfortable in both dramatic and comedic roles. When he’s not performing Bill enjoys traveling with his wife. They recently returned from their seventh trip to Bosnia where they’ve led groups rebuilding homes in the post-war country.<\/p>\n
