Synopses:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

CITY OF – (3F, 3M) -Four disparate Americans journey to Paris in search of love. A mysterious symphony of speech and dreams unfold as their lives entangle in a web of paintings, opera, and absinthe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

STILL LIFE (4F) – A struggling painter enters an art contest called \u2018Images of Death.\u2019 She seeks help from her ex-lover\u2019s teacher. The two women form an unusual relationship that pushes the boundaries of both their art and their humanity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SONG OF THE WIND – (1F, 2M) On a lonely beach in the North Channel Islands, the boundaries of dream-life and waking-life blur, as two men travel through time to find their future in the past. Song of the Wind is a love song to the vanishing rural lives of two soul mates who believed they had found T\u00edr na n\u00f3g, the mythical Land of Youth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FUN WITH DICK (2F, 4M) – A few generations in the future, genitalia have been removed from their humans to go live in Jism Heights. However, young Jayklyn is distraught at the thought of being separated from his penis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anton Dudley is a playwright, director, and librettist for both opera and musical theatre.\u00a0 His Off-Broadway productions include <\/span>City Of<\/span><\/i> (Playwrights Realm\/Peter Jay Sharp Theater directed by Stephen Brackett), <\/span>Substitution<\/span><\/i> (Playwrights Realm\/Soho Playhouse featuring Jan Maxwell), <\/span>17 Orchard Point<\/span><\/i> (co-written with Stephanie DiMaggio, Theater Row featuring Michele Pawk), <\/span>Getting Home<\/span><\/i> (Second Stage Theater), and <\/span>Slag Heap<\/span><\/i> (Cherry Lane Theater featuring Vincent Kartheiser).\u00a0 Other productions include <\/span>Girlstar<\/span><\/i> (Signature Theater directed by Eric Shaeffer), <\/span>A Dram of Drumhiccit<\/span><\/i> (co-written with Arthur Kopit, LaJolla Playhouse directed by Chris Ashley), <\/span>Katie: Strongest of the Strong <\/span><\/i>[music by Faye Chiao] (Houston Grand Opera), <\/span>Honor and the River<\/span><\/i> (Walnut Street Theater, Luna Stage, Theater Row), <\/span>Cold Hard Cash<\/span><\/i> (Williamstown Theater Festival directed by May Adrales), <\/span>The Lake\u2019s End<\/span><\/i> (Adirondack Theater Festival featuring Jason Butler Harner), <\/span>Marguerite <\/span><\/i>[music by Michael Cooper] (APAC featuring Cady Huffman), and <\/span>Davy & Stu<\/span><\/i> (Ensemble Studio Theater).\u00a0 His play <\/span>Letters to the End of the World<\/span><\/i> was a finalist for the 2012 Lambda Literary Award in LGBT Drama and received its premiere at Theater Row.\u00a0 Along with composer Faye Chiao, Anton had a two-year residence at Off-Broadway\u2019s New Victory Theater to develop their musical <\/span>Baba Yaga & the Firebird<\/span><\/i> through LabWorks.\u00a0 His drag cabaret series, <\/span>The Duchess Carpathia Bouffray, <\/span><\/i>is currently streaming on HappiTV and has been presented by both Rogers Art Loft and the Gund Gallery.\u00a0 Anton has had new play, musical & opera commissions from Houston Grand Opera, Manhattan Theater Club, Williamstown Theater Festival, Cherry Lane Theater, Prospect Theater, Keen Company, Baryshnikov Arts Center, Zeiders American Dream Theater, Prospect Theater Company, Stella Adler Studio, and Toronto\u2019s Musical Stage Company.\u00a0 His works are published by Sam French, Playscripts, Applause, Heuer, Heinemann Press, Backstage Books, Smith & Kraus, People.com, and Vintage.\u00a0 As a director, Anton has directed both premieres and classics across the country, including the D.C. regional premieres of Suzan-Lori Parks\u2019 <\/span>Venus<\/span><\/i>, Miguel Pinero\u2019s <\/span>Short Eyes<\/span><\/i>, and Tracy Letts\u2019 <\/span>Killer Joe<\/span><\/i>, and the North American premiere of Jim Cartwright\u2019s <\/span>I Licked a Slag\u2019s Deodorant<\/span><\/i>.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span><\/i>He was co-director for the 30th Anniversary revival of <\/span>Hair<\/span><\/i>, which won Helen Hayes Awards for both Outstanding Resident Musical and Direction.\u00a0 Anton received an Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Award for fiscal year 2020 for his play <\/span>Song of the Wind <\/span><\/i>(developed at Irish Rep).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
