Seamus Dever

Seamus Dever is most well known to television audiences as Detective Kevin Ryan on the long running ABC series Castle and has also been in over 70 plays in the legitimate theatre in regional theaters like the Laguna Playhouse and the Mark Taper Forum. His breakout role was as Alex in the LA premiere of A Clockwork Orange at the Greenway Court Theatre for which he had multiple awards and nominations. Splitting time between television and theatre for over 25 years in Los Angeles, Dever has gone back to playing bad guys lately like Trigon on the HBO Max series Titans, a Nazi Hunter opposite Al Pacino in Amazon’s Hunters. He plays major characters in two huge video game franchises: Call of Duty and Far Cry. Movies include Hollywoodland and Invitation to A Murder. He also has appeared in over 300 hours of television including NCIS, Tracker, Waco: The Aftermath, General Hospital, CSI, Army Wives, and Mad Men. He is a voice actor as well and he is on the board of LA Theatre Works who record stage plays for radio and has won Audie and Headphones Awards in his 15 recordings with them. He is a lifetime member of The Actors Studio and a member of the Antaeus Company in Los Angeles. Seamus graduated from Northern Arizona University and now sits on the advisory board of the College of Arts and Letters. He got his MFAs in Acting from Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh and the Moscow Art Theatre in Russia. Dever recently relocated to New York City in pursuit of more stage work.
