Sideeq Heard(he/him) is a multi-hyphenate actor, director, and rapper. Most recently seen at Hartford Stage in “Trouble in Mind”playing John Nevins. Select Regional acting credits include: (Hanger Theatre) Little Women and Kinky Boots. DC: (Theatre Alliance). “Tray” in Brownsville Song (or B-side for Tray). (John F Kennedy Center) Hooded. “Anger” in Kennan Scott III Thoughts of a Colored Man, (Gala Hispanic Theatre). Broadway: Associate Director of the Tony Nominated “FAT HAM.” Directing credits include: “Word Becomes Flesh” at NYU Freeplay Festival, “A curios thing; or superhero’s kain’t fly” at JAG Productions Theatre on a Hill, and staged reading of “FAT HAM” for ATIAF at the American Airlines Theatre. In Fall 2022, Sideeq devised and directed “The Waiting Room” at ArtReach Inc. Sideeq has Assistant Directed Saheem Ali at the Public Theatre, and Carl Cofield at the Classical Theatre of Harlem. Film: Director of “Here is a Man” a short film about Donny Hathaway was an Official Selection for both Katra Film Series, and People’s Film Festival. Currently, Sideeq is developing a web series called “Men Like Us” following the lives of four queer black party promoters in NYC.
